GIGABYTE presented a series of hardware across DIY components, laptops, and OLED monitors in CES 2026; the announcements include new(-ish) motherboards, a new RTX 5090 graphics card, CQDIMM DDR5 memory (not to be confused with CUDIMM), and expanded QD-OLED/WOLED monitor lineups integrating new β€œHyperNits” feature.

On motherboards, GIGABYTE didn’t specifically announce any new models in this event, short for mostly recapping its recent releases made in the past few weeks. Case in point, the GIGABYTE X870E AORUS XTREME X3D AI TOP and GIGABYTE X870E AERO X3D WOOD was announced in last November and December, respectively, both featuring the brand’s X3D Turbo Mode 2.0 which claimed to provide 10%+ FPS gains in gaming via real-time overclocking through a dedicated AI chip. Also new is the new AORUS STEALTH series, available in X870 and B850 chipset variants.

GIGABYTE also brought a new GPU to the show in the form of AORUS GeForce RTX 5090 INFINITY. This is perhaps one of the most unusual design we’ve seen on RTX 5090 GPUs thus far, featuring two fan-shaped shrouds on either sides of the card that uses a double flow-through setup similar to NVIDIA’s own Founders Edition variant. There’s even a third β€œoverdrive fan” hidden in between for when the GPU gets really hot. The company also recapped another of its recent release, the AORUS RTX 5060 Ti AI BOX, which is now available for purchase worldwide.

As for the memory segment, here’s where things get interesting (insane pricing notwithstanding). The company unveiled a new type of CUDIMM memory called Clocked Quad rank unbuffered DIMM (CQDIMM), but this is GIGABYTE’s speak of 4-rank CUDIMM modules that MSI and ADATA has already worked on. That said, it does have the accompanying 4-rank, dual-128GB DDR5 modules alongside a Z890 AORUS Tachyon ICE CQDIMM Edition motherboard for demonstration, which achieved 7200MT/s clock speeds – much faster than MSI/ADATA’s example.

Laptop updates were also announced across the AORUS MASTER 16, AERO X16, and GAMING A18 PRO, focusing on updated hardware configurations like AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX3D and AMD Ryzen AI 9 400 series processors. There’s also a redesigned interface on these laptop’s GiMATE app (also an AI chatbot), which is once again full of AI slop marketing that it’s probably going to make your eyes hurt. Like who thinks a simple MUX switch needs to be branded as β€œAI Power Gear III”?

GIGABYTE also expanded its OLED gaming monitor portfolio with four new models. The lineup includes the ultra-wide QD-OLED MO34WQC36, 4K QD-OLED MO32U24, fourth-generation WOLED MO27Q28GR, and a white-finished QD-OLED MO27Q2A ICE. Among them is a new feature dubbed β€œHyperNits”, a function that adjusts the electro-optical transfer curve to increase perceived brightness while maintaining highlight detail. Like other QD-OLED offerings shown this year, GIGABYTE’s QD-OLED lineup will feature ObsidianShield film for increased perceived black depth, as well as improved surface hardness for scratch resistance, and revised sub-pixel structures for text clarity.

Pokdepinion: That is one odd-shaped RTX 5090. Certainly has the 2000s-era GPU look to it.
