Red Dead Redemption is coming to more platforms starting this December 2: Rockstar announced the 2010 title will soon launch in iOS, Android, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. Both games will include the full single-player experiences (base game plus Undead Nightmare), along with bonus content from the Game of the Year Edition.

Red Dead Redemption Launching On Mobile Devices And Current-Gen Consoles This December 2

These ports of Red Dead Redemption were developed in collaboration with Double Eleven and Cast Iron Games, and those who have yet to own the game can access it via GTA+ Games Library and PlayStation Plus Game Catalog on consoles starting December 2. For iOS and Android releases, you’ll need an active Netflix subscription to access the game, and they come with mobile-specific control optimizations as well.

On PS5 and Xbox Series consoles, you can expect β€œsmooth 60 frames per second experience”, with enhanced graphics, HDR support, and resolutions up to 4K. The Nintendo Switch 2 port will also support DLSS, HDR, mouse controls, and the same 60 frames per second gameplay at β€œhigh resolution,” although Rockstar stopped short of specifying at what exact resolution (with upscaling, of course).

Rockstar says owners of previous versions on PS4, original Nintendo Switch, or Xbox One digital backward-compatible editions can upgrade digitally at no cost. Players can also carry over saved progress from the said devices. In case you forgot – PC gamers already have access to the game since October 29, 2024, so if you wanted to experience the story chronologically since RDR2’s plot (which is its prequel), here’s a good reminder to do so.
