HONOR has announced that its latest flagship HONOR Magic8 Pro will be arriving in Malaysia soon – the device, which was introduced in China last month, puts focus on its upgraded camera system and imaging performance.

Besides its launch in Malaysia, the HONOR Magic8 Pro will also serve as the official photography device for Gegar Vaganza 2025, a popular music reality show by Astro. Under this partnership, HONOR says the smartphone is “perfectly suited to capture the singers’ performances, spotlight moments, and their journey throughout the competition.” The company stopped short of quoting any numbers, with the smartphone expected to feature upgraded AI, improved camera system, a larger battery and the latest software “for an optimized flagship experience.”
Since the Magic8 Pro has already been revealed in China, here’s what we know: the smartphone will be among the first to feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, paired with up to 16GB RAM + 1TB storage; the display is a 6.71-inch 120Hz LTPO OLED panel with 1800 nits HBM / 6000 nits peak brightness, while the battery is a 7,200mAh unit supporting 120W wired and 80W wireless charging. The upgraded camera system, meanwhile, all features 50MP sensors on front and back, except for the telephoto lens with 200MP resolution and supports 3.7x optical zoom.
Further details regarding specifications, pricing, and availability are expected to be revealed soon as HONOR prepares for the local launch, for which the company has yet to provide an exact date thus far.
