ASUS has announced the ROG Rapture GT-BE19000AI router, supposedly the βworldβs first AI router.β Per ASUS, the router is equipped with what it calls βAI coreβ (in other words, an NPU worth 7.9 TOPS), which is claimed to provides dedicated compute capacity for network optimization and AI workloads to improve performance stability under heavy usage.

NPU aside, the ROG Rapture GT-BE19000AI is one very powerful router with hardware that almost matches smartphones: thereβs the quad-core 2.6GHz Broadcom BCM4916 processor, which is then paired with 4GB of DDR4 memory and 32GB of onboard eMMC storage. ASUS lists three Broadcom chipsets on its specs, including the aforementioned BCM4916, along with BCM6726 and BCM67263 chipsets for Wi-Fi 7 networking.
On the radio side of things, it supports tri-band Wi-Fi 7 with 320MHz channels and 4096-QAM modulation for a combined wireless throughput of 19Gbps. Meanwhile, wired connectivity includes dual 10GbE LAN, four 2.5GbE LAN, and a single 1GbE LAN for a combined 31Gbps wired throughput, with 20Gbps link aggregation available for high-demand setups. Thereβs also a pair of USB ports, with one USB 3.0 (5Gbps) port and a USB 2.0 port. Regarding cooling, the 30% thicker aluminum plate and nanocarbon coating improves heat dissipation by 18% compared to previous models.

The ROG Rapture GT-BE19000AI also includes Guest Network Pro feature which allows up to five custom SSIDs with individual permissions and content filters, along with AiProtection security suite for privacy and protection, and integrated Docker Engine support that allows the router to host containerized applications directly for smart home applications. Another key feature called βWiFi Insightβ continuously scans for wireless interference to maintain consistent signal quality in dense environments, such as apartments.
Building on top of triple-level game acceleration, the router now features the upgraded version called AI Game Boost β it leverages real-time AI algorithms for traffic prioritization and latency reduction, dynamically adjusting routing paths and bandwidth allocation based on current usage conditions. ASUSβs internal testing indicates that this optimization can reduce latency by up to 34%.
ASUS says the ROG Rapture GT-BE19000AI router will be available in Malaysia starting mid-February 2026, though no pricing information has been announced at this time.
