Lenovo is no strangers to innovative concepts in CES, and this time in CES 2026, itβs also got a few experimental designs to accompany the usual new product announcements. Chief among them include two rollable display laptops, new Yoga and IdeaPad laptops, plus a new range of systems for commercial markets β and hereβs the highlights.
New Lenovo Concepts

Lenovo first tried out the rollable display idea last year with ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable laptop that you can actually buy, but evidently the company is not done with more concepts using newfangled flexible OLED tech on laptops. The first of the two shown using this design in CES 2026 is the ThinkPad Rollable XD concept β while similar to the aforementioned ThinkBook, its display now extends all the way to the laptop lid acting as a secondary display. In collapsed form, the display measures 13.3-inch facing the user, which can be extended to around 16 inches.
We did a bit of maths using Pythagorean theorem to figure out exactly how much more screen space you can get with the screen fully extended. Assuming exactly 16 inches of diagonal area when fully extended and a 16:10 aspect ratio on the collapsed 13.3-inch mode, having the screen full extended will give you 61% more vertical space, which is way more usable than a simple size up from a 13.3-inch 16:10 to 16-inch 16:10, for example.

For concept displays, thereβs the Lenovo Smart Sense Display Concept, which sounds good on paper given that it functions as a singular hub for wired and wireless display inputs designed for collaborative work, until AI βnatural-language interactionβ and βsmart assistantβ comes in. Besides that, thereβs also the Lenovo Personalized Display Concept that adapts displays based on a userβs profiles, time-of-day, and geographic location to deliver βpersonalizedΒ display brightness, color temperature, andΒ real-time wellness monitoring based on posture, eye fatigue, and other factors.β

Plus, there are two new concept keyboards: the first is the Lenovo Adaptable Keyboard Concept, which presents an idea that surprisingly hasnβt been picked up by gaming keyboard makers by this point β adjustable keystroke actuation force. With a switch, itβs capable of mimicking linear, tactile and clicky profiles, and the company markets it as a dual-use keyboard for gaming and work (with RGB, of course). Finally, the Lenovo Self-Charging Kit Concept is another idea of a solar-powered keyboard and mouse, designed to work with indoor light sources as low as 50 lux.
Gaming Laptops & Handhelds
![[CES 2026] Lenovo CES Highlights: Rollable Display Concepts, Plus New Gaming, Consumer & Commercial Hardware - 27 [CES 2026] Lenovo CES Highlights: Rollable Display Concepts, Plus New Gaming, Consumer & Commercial Hardware - 26](https://cdn.pokde.net/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/14040300/xc-Legion3.jpg)
Thereβs one more concept laptop we have yet to mention, and it falls under the gaming laptop category. Meet the Legion Pro Rollable concept, a 16-inch laptop with a flexible OLED display that expands horizontally in two stages, 21.5 inches (βTactical Modeβ) or 24 inches (βArena Modeβ), via tension-controlled rolling panel with two motors extending on both sides. The prototype is based on Legion Pro hardware with Intel Core Ultra processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU, along with its in-house LA1 and LA3 co-processors that generally deals with performance and power optimizations.
Lenovo also introduced something similar to what we saw in MSIβs MEG X gaming monitor, though in this case itβs not yet tied to a specific hardware. The AI Frame Gaming Display proof-of-concept can perform functions like scene detection for highlighting key in-game metrics in MOBA or FPS titles, cursor tracking for zooming crosshairs, in-game assistance, and adaptive atmospheric lighting that changes color when it detects player taking damage, for example.

Lenovo also announced a new Legion Go variant with SteamOS pre-installed instead of Windows 11, featuring the same hardware as the Windows-based counterpart. In theory, there should be no difference between the two variants given that you can simply install SteamOS into any existing Legion Go handhelds, but having a ready-to-purchase variant is always good news for Valve, and for those who are sick of Microsoft executives proverbially whispering over their ear begging them to please use the Copilot even when youβre gaming (and not call it βslopβ).

Rounding up the gaming announcements are new Legion and LOQ gaming laptops featuring refreshed hardware. The Legion 7a Gen 11 is now 10% lighter and 5% slimmer than before, housing up to AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 processor coupled with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop GPU; both the Legion 5i and Legion 5a meanwhile gets respective updated processor options, including Intel Core Ultra 9 386H and AMD Ryzen AI 9 465 (along with Ryzen 7 250 as the cheaper offering). Finally, the LOQ series (15IPH11 / 15AHP11) will offer up to Intel Core Ultra 7 365H and AMD Ryzen 7 250 respectively.
Yoga Lineup & IdeaPad Laptops
![[CES 2026] Lenovo CES Highlights: Rollable Display Concepts, Plus New Gaming, Consumer & Commercial Hardware - 37 [CES 2026] Lenovo CES Highlights: Rollable Display Concepts, Plus New Gaming, Consumer & Commercial Hardware - 36](https://cdn.pokde.net/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/14040428/xc-05_Yoga_Pro_9i_Aura_edition_Aura-1024x576.jpg)
For consumer PCs, Lenovo expanded its Yoga and IdeaPad families with new laptops, desktops, monitors, as well as peripherals. Starting with the flagship Yoga Pro 9i Aura Edition Gen 11 and the Yoga Pro 7i Aura Edition Gen 11: both laptops feature Intel Core Ultra 9 386H with RTX 5070 Laptop GPU at the top end with 64GB RAM, with the former featuring 16-inch 3.2K (3200 x 2000) Tandem OLED 120Hz VRR display, and the latter featuring a slight smaller 15.3-inch QHD+ OLED 165Hz VRR display instead.
Both will feature new touchpad referred to as βForce Padβ (itβs an optional add-on for the Yoga Pro 7i). Effectively, itβs a touchpad with a layer of digitizer on top of it to support drawing pen (i.e. Yoga Pen Gen 2), and while in drawing mode, the touchpad functionality will step back temporarily to avoid unintentional inputs. The only differences between the two come down to display, Bluetooth version, speaker configuration, and charging support β which, the Yoga Pro 9i gets a dedicated 245W DC charger, while the Yoga Pro 7i uses 140W USB-C instead to top up the 92.5Wh batteries.
![[CES 2026] Lenovo CES Highlights: Rollable Display Concepts, Plus New Gaming, Consumer & Commercial Hardware - 39 [CES 2026] Lenovo CES Highlights: Rollable Display Concepts, Plus New Gaming, Consumer & Commercial Hardware - 38](https://cdn.pokde.net/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/14040447/xc-08_Yoga_Slim_7i_Ultra_Aura_Edition_Seashell_Multi_Colour-1024x576.jpg)
Next is the Yoga Slim series, including the Yoga Slim 7i Ultra Aura Edition, Yoga Slim 7a, Yoga Slim 7x. As the letter suffix implies, the 7i is based on Intel Core Ultra X9 388H, while the AMD and Qualcomm versions will feature Ryzen AI 7 445 and Snapdragon X2 Elite X2E-88-100 respectively instead. All three feature up to 32GB LPDDR5X memory, as well as 2TB SSD storage. The Yoga 7a 2-in-1 convertible laptops, meanwhile, comes in two display sizes (16β³ & 14β³), both powered by the same Ryzen AI 7 445 processor and share most specs, including optional Force Pad support.
![[CES 2026] Lenovo CES Highlights: Rollable Display Concepts, Plus New Gaming, Consumer & Commercial Hardware - 41 [CES 2026] Lenovo CES Highlights: Rollable Display Concepts, Plus New Gaming, Consumer & Commercial Hardware - 40](https://cdn.pokde.net/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/14040458/xc-01_Yoga_AIO_i_Aura_Edition_32_Seashell_Hero-1024x576.jpg)
As for the desktops, thereβs the new Yoga AIO i Aura Edition with a 4K 165Hz OLED display and adaptive ambient lighting housed under the display where youβll find a big chunk of transparent plastic panel acting as the base of the system. Itβs more so an aesthetic choice, though its also functional to some extent as a notification system without getting too in-your-face with how notifications are designed to grab attention these days. In terms of hardware, youβll find Intel Core Ultra X7 358H with Arc B390 graphics and 32GB LPDDR5X-9600 RAM powering this machine.
![[CES 2026] Lenovo CES Highlights: Rollable Display Concepts, Plus New Gaming, Consumer & Commercial Hardware - 43 [CES 2026] Lenovo CES Highlights: Rollable Display Concepts, Plus New Gaming, Consumer & Commercial Hardware - 42](https://cdn.pokde.net/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/14040522/xc-Yoga-Mini-1L-Seashell-Right-Side-Profile-1024x768.jpg)
That same Intel processor will also find its way into a hockey puck-sized Yoga Mini i Gen 11 mini-PC that weighs 600 grams and occupies just 1 liter of volume, which is powered by a USB-C port and features a wide assortment of I/O like many mini-PCs do. Itβs even got an onboard speaker and microphone so itβs teleconference-ready, too. Besides, itβs got an accelerometer to sense devices tapping on it to initiate Smart Connect feature, as well as Wi-Fi sensing to detect user presence via radio waves, plus ambient lighting serving the same purpose as the AIO PC we mentioned just now.
![[CES 2026] Lenovo CES Highlights: Rollable Display Concepts, Plus New Gaming, Consumer & Commercial Hardware - 45 [CES 2026] Lenovo CES Highlights: Rollable Display Concepts, Plus New Gaming, Consumer & Commercial Hardware - 44](https://cdn.pokde.net/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/14040543/xc-14_IdeaPad_Pro_5i_16_Family_intel-1024x512.jpg)
Moving on to IdeaPads, thereβs five new laptops: the IdeaPad Pro 5i, the IdeaPad 5a and 5x 2-in-1, and IdeaPad Slim 5x in two sizes. Starting with the Pro model, it comes equipped with Intel Core Ultra X9 388H and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop GPU; for convertibles, the IdeaPad 5a 2-in-1 features a 15.3-inch display and is powered by AMD Ryzen AI 7 445 processor, while the IdeaPad 5x 2-in-1 is a smaller 14-inch model utilizing Qualcomm Snapdragon X2 Plus chipset for compute duty, and the same applies to both versions of the IdeaPad Slim 5x laptops.
ThinkPad & Commercial Lineup
![[CES 2026] Lenovo CES Highlights: Rollable Display Concepts, Plus New Gaming, Consumer & Commercial Hardware - 47 [CES 2026] Lenovo CES Highlights: Rollable Display Concepts, Plus New Gaming, Consumer & Commercial Hardware - 46](https://cdn.pokde.net/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/14040614/xc-09_ThinkPad_X1_2-in-1_FPR_Backlit_Family_Shot-1024x576.jpg)
On the commercial side, Lenovo introduced updated ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 14 and ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 11 models using a new internal Space Frame layout that relocates components to both sides of the motherboard, aimed at improving cooling, as well as serviceability of components like I/O ports, battery, keyboard, speakers, and fans. Both laptops will be powered by Intel Core Ultra X7 processors (at 30W TDP thanks to upgraded cooling) paired with up to 64GB LPDDR5X-9600 memory, with 10-megapixel, 110-degree wide-angle cameras for teleconferencing.
Next up, the ThinkPad X9 15p Aura Edition was also introduced with the new addition of full-size SD card slot. Specs include a 15.3-inch 2.8K OLED 120Hz display, up to Intel Core Ultra X9 processors (45W TDP), up to 64GB LPDDR5X-9600 memory, an 88Wh battery, six-speaker audio with microphones featuring Elevoc noise cancellation, as well as a 10MP webcam. Itβs also touted to feature the largest haptic touchpad on a ThinkPad, at 135 x 85 mm.
The fourth model introduced here is a twisty one. The ThinkBook Plus Gen 7 Auto Twist is a retail version of a concept showcased last year, featured a motorized dual-axis rotating hinge that moves the laptopβs 14-inch 2.8K 120Hz OLED panel and a pair of user-facing speakers outward by rotating sideways. Lenovo says itβll use an Intel Core Ultra 300 (Series 3) processor but did not specify which, but itβll be paired with up to 32GB RAM, 2TB SSD, and a 75Wh battery.
![[CES 2026] Lenovo CES Highlights: Rollable Display Concepts, Plus New Gaming, Consumer & Commercial Hardware - 51 [CES 2026] Lenovo CES Highlights: Rollable Display Concepts, Plus New Gaming, Consumer & Commercial Hardware - 50](https://cdn.pokde.net/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/14040850/xc-06_ThinkCentre_X_AIO_Ecosystem_2-1024x576.jpg)
As for desktop additions, Lenovo brought the new ThinkCentre X AIO Aura Edition with a double-height 27.6-inch 16:18 QHD (2560 x 2880) display, set to feature up to Intel Core Ultra X7 processor with Arc B390 graphics and 64GB LPDDR5X-9600 RAM. There is an optional smart camera accessory that can be used in conjunction with Lenovo DeskView software to convert documents in-camera into digital PDFs, while Lenovo Share Zone allows the AIO to function as a monitor and a computer at the same time, each taking one vertical half of the 16:18 display.
![[CES 2026] Lenovo CES Highlights: Rollable Display Concepts, Plus New Gaming, Consumer & Commercial Hardware - 53 [CES 2026] Lenovo CES Highlights: Rollable Display Concepts, Plus New Gaming, Consumer & Commercial Hardware - 52](https://cdn.pokde.net/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/14040854/xc-08_ThinkCentre_X_TWR_hero_front_facing_right.jpg)
Finally, the ThinkCentre X Tower is a 34-liter desktop chassis designed primarily for AI development. Itβll use an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor paired with up to 256GB of DDR5-6400 CUDIMM memory, while GPU options includes a single NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090, or two NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti (Lenovo didnβt specify if itβs 8GB or 16GB variant). All of these are still considered off-the-shelf hardware, but thereβs one secretive βAI Fusion Card 1TBβ that Lenovo didnβt talk much about, aside that it supports βlocal post-training fine-tuning of models up to 70 billion parameters.β
