Starting off, MSI presented its AMD X870(E) and B850 MAX series motherboards, which feature an integrated OC Engine supporting asynchronous BCLK control for frequency tuning, alongside onboard tools such as Direct OC Jumper and BCLK Booster for further overclocking. All MAX series boards are also equipped with a 64MB BIOS chip for future processor compatibility, as well as the usual set of EZ DIY features for tool-less installations. (As a side note, MSI also showcases its new 4-Rank CUDIMM memory on an Intel motherboard in this event.)

There are four new AMD motherboards introduced: the MEG X870E UNIFY-X MAX is designed for for extreme overclocking, using a two-DIMM layout purpose-built for achieving maximum memory frequency; the board also includes a Tuning Controller remote control for overclocking adjustments, clear CMOS, activate fail-safe, or restore saved settings to save time between overclocking runs. MSI also brought the refreshed MAG B850 MAX lineup, which includes the MAG B850 GAMING PLUS MAX WIFI, MAG B850 TOMAHAWK MAX WIFI II, and MAG B850M MORTAR MAX WIFI.

While thereβs no new GPUs from NVIDIA this time, MSI got one more model to show in this CES: the beastly GeForce RTX 5090 LIGHTING Z, which is likely the most powerful variant of the card the world has ever seen. In stock βOCβ mode, the card can pull 800 watts of power, but this card is capable of breaking the 1000W barrier should the user feel particularly brave or looking to break a few world records. Cooling is done via a dedicated 360mm AIO, while the main shroud itself features a world-first 8-inch display onboard, making use of the free space liquid-cooled GPUs offer.

All that power makes for a perfect segue to power supplies: the new models introduces GPU Safeguard+ feature designed to monitor power delivery to the 12V-2Γ6 connector in real time, which hopefully should prevent meltdowns. When abnormal current fluctuation is detected, users will be alerted through MSI Center app alongside a beep from the buzzer onboard these PSUs. Both the MPG Ai1600TS PCIE5 and MPG Ai1300TS PCIE5 will support GPU Safeguard+, while the MAG A1200PLS PCIE5 and MAG A1000PLS PCIE5 will feature a more basic version (GPU Safeguard), though thereβs no specifics on the difference aside from the lack of USB-C port on MAG models.
Case & Cooling: MEG MAESTRO 900R, MEG CORELIQUID E15 360, MPG COREFROZR AP15/AP17

Moving on to the chassis segment, MSI unveiled the MEG MAESTRO 900R case with a triple-sided glass panoramic case designed to display internal components while supporting complex configurations, such as custom water cooling and multi-GPU setups. The chassis includes a rotatable motherboard tray intended to simplify assembly and tuning outside the enclosure.

For cooling, MSI introduced two new models. The MEG CORELIQUID E15 360 AIO cooler features a 6.67-inch curved 2K OLED display, though this curves at 110 degrees instead of the usual 90 degrees for improved visibility. Meanwhile, its cooling system uses a thicker radiator (31mm thick), new TriFlow Reversal fan, and the MSI-exclusive EZ Conn (JAF_2) 3-in-1 combo connector that simplifies cabling for installation.

Next is the MPG COREFROZR AP15 and AP17 dual-tower air coolers, with the former featuring onboard digital display that displays basic system vitals, whereas the latter has a 6-inch LCD display capable of showing custom graphics on top of system monitoring. The AP15 features six heatpipes, while the AP17 features eight; both models also took RAM clearance into account with extra space given to the extra-tall memory modules.
Monitors: MPG 272QRF X36, MPG 341CQR QD-OLED X36 & MEG X

Earlier, the company also announced the MPG 341CQR QD-OLED X36 and MEG X monitors, which you can read more here β but hereβs a quick rundown: both monitors come with MSI 5th Gen QD-OLED panel by Samsung Display, using the new V-stripe layout to minimize color fringing issues, while also featuring DarkArmor film to improve black levels under bright conditions. The MEG X inherits same hardware as the MPG model, adding additional AI features that reads in-game context to provide contextual assistance (i.e. highlighted enemies, enlarged scopes, etc).

MSI announced a new SSD called the SPATIUM M571 DLP, which operates on PCIe 5.0 speeds with a claimed 14,000MB/s sequential read and 11,000MB/s sequential write speeds. It uses TSMC 6nm-based controller power efficient enough to negate the use of giant heatsinks, and it comes with MSIβs exclusive Data Loss Protection (DLP) feature that keeps the SSD powered just long enough to preserve data in the event of a sudden power loss. Also introduced in the event is the new DATAMAG 40Gbps external SSD that snaps to magnetic surfaces.
Finally on the gaming peripherals, MSI announced its new Wireless 8K series with Versa 300 and Versa 500 8K Wireless gaming mice for right-handed users, with the latter also featuring a Hall Effect magnetic scroll wheel enabling two scrolling modes; in keyboards, thereβs the new GK600 series and the Strike 700 HE 8K Wireless, the latter also featuring Hall Effect switches. The Maestro 500 wireless headset rounds up the new peripheral lineup announced in this event.
Pokdepinion: Now thatβs a GPU worthy of Lightining name.
