Shortly after leaks from Team Red emerge, thereβs new information coming from Team Blue as well. Seasoned leaker Golden Pig Upgrade (in response to the aforementioned Zen 6 leak) has said that Intel will also push its desktop launch in 2027 as well. Specifically, weβre looking at early January, during CES 2027.
Intel Nova Lake Targeting CES 2027 Launch

According to Videocardz, Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan has made it clear in the latest earning report that Nova Lake will launch βat the end of 2026.β That still offers a bit of wiggle room for the chipmaker in terms of launch timing, given that weβve seen examples where the laptop chips were launched late December, before entering the CES show floor in the subsequent month.
So, one can safely assume that the laptop-based Nova Lake processors will launch first, while the desktop socketed chips will follow shortly after. Note that Intel has yet to confirm anything relating to its next-gen desktop lineup, and for that matter, it hasnβt even acknowledged the existence of its supposedly soon-to-be-launched Arrow Lake Refresh lineup that ASUS has seemingly inadvertently leaked/confirmed.
Assuming the recent reports are accurate, it would indicate that both AMD and Intel opted to skip next-gen CPU announcements this year, and itβs probably for the better given the current memory pricing situation, where many PC makers are struggling with product launches right now (Valve being one of the example for its Steam Machine).
Pokdepinion: I have decently high hopes on Nova Lake based on leaks so far β hopefully it can put up a good fight against AMDβs offerings to keep competition going.
