You Can Now Live Share Your ETA On Google Maps
Remember all those times when your friend always used to say βIβm on the wayβ but by that they mean they are just getting ready? Well now Google Maps has something to help with that.
Google Map Live Sharing ETA
Google Maps has now come up with an easy and safer way for you to give an estimated time of arrival (ETA) to your friends and loved ones by letting you share your trip progress.
Now, you donβt even have to be bothered of constantly updating them as to what time you are expected to arrive, which is also something dangerous to do when you keep your eyes off the road when you think about it.
How to use it you may ask? Well once youβve started navigating, tap on the β^β icon on the bottom right and choose βShare trip progressβ. You will then need to select the person you would like to share it with and youβre good to go.
In addition to that, you can also share it through any of your 3rd party apps such as Facebook Messenger, LINE, WhatsApp, and the likes.
Interestingly, once youβve shared it to a person, they can actually see the battery percentage of your phone. At least now you have proof that your smartphone is indeed dying.
Pokdepinion: Now this is a very much welcomed updated to Google Maps. Personally, I donβt usually use Maps much, but after this, I might. I can finally see where exactly my friends are when they say theyβre βon the wayβ, heh.
