Xiaomi Teams Up With OPPO And vivo In Bringing New File Transfer System To Users
Xiaomi has recently announced of their partnership with OPPO and vivo, where they aim to bring a new wireless file transfer system to consumers around the world.
The initiative is called the”Peer-to-Peer Transmission Alliance”, a system that allows cross-brand file transfer with just a single tap.
For MIUI 11 (Xiaomi’s OS) users, this feature shouldn’t be of a surprise as it’s already available with the Mi Share app.
With the transfer system, it provides a streamlined mobile experience which doesn’t require internet connection.
It uses Bluetooth for pairing and WiFi P2P technology for the data transfer, offering stable and high-speed connection as well as low power consumption to users.
On Xiaomi’s end, the feature is compatible to devices that’s running Android Pie or later but excludes Redmi 6 Pro, Redmi 6, Redmi 6A, Redmi 7A, Redmi 7, Redmi S2, Redmi 8, Redmi 8A, Redmi Note 8, and Redmi Note 8T.
Pokdepinion: Nice to see that Xiaomi isn’t just holding their technology and to share it with other brands. A not so common act these days.
