vivo Reveals That They Are Working On 120 Watt Fast Charging Technology

The race for fast charging technology has been getting tougher and tougher. In the market right now, there’s 40W on HUAWEI’s flagship devices, 50W for the OPPO Find X and an incredible 100W that Xiaomi has been developing earlier in the year. Now it seems that vivo will top them all off where they’ve revealed that they are working o a 120W fast charging technology.

Revealed at the company’s Weibo account, it shows that the technology will allow to charge a 4000mAh battery in just 13 minutes. Pretty incredible right? Well don’t expect to see it making its way soon though. On the post itself, they’ve used the hashtag of “vivo 5G”. This means that it will be introduced once a 5G smartphone under them comes out to the market.

Seeing how things are shaping up, it looks like fast-charging will be the trend for smartphone devices in the near future.

Pokdepinion: One thing that I’m worried about is the thermals. At the rate that they are going, it’s definitely going to heat up the battery. Hopefully they’ll figure out something to cope with the issue.
