Upcoming PlayStation 5’s GPU Performance Equivalent To GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER

We’ve heard a lot on Sony’s upcoming console, the PlayStation 5/PS5, but there’s not much details surrounding it. According to reports and leak, the next-gen console’s graphic performance is supposedly to be on the same level as one of the best graphics card in the market right now.

According to the report/leak, it describes the PS5’s GPU chip as “Oberan”, running up to 2.000GHz and comes with 9.2 teraflops. In the report, they’ve compared it to the capabilities of the GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER graphics, where they find several similar attributes, with the graphics card running over 9 teraflops too.

Interestingly though, they claim that the PS5 edges the competitor with a “higher GPU performance”.

Despite the news, Sony hasn’t let out too much details about the console. Thanks to that, you should take this news with a pinch of salt as we still await for more details on the PlayStation 5.
