More retailers offer refunds if Google apps stop functioning on HUAWEI smartphones
Despite the fact that HUAWEI can now do business with Google unfettered by the US-China trade wars, some retailers are still offering a refund program for HUAWEI users. It seems like the retailers are a bit slow on getting onto the hype train, unlike their Filipino counterparts.
Courts, Senheng, Lazada and some distributors have just announced some sort of a warranty program. If Google apps do not work on your smartphone, they will refund you. But it is just a bullet point in their marketing material, because HUAWEIβs relationship with Google isnβt going south anytime soon.
In any case, the βApp Protection Warranty Programβ offered by the various retailers are valid from now until 30th September.
While I personally feel like it is pointless at this point in time, it is nice to have an added layer of assurance, something which no other brand has. If one day the USβ relationship sours with other Chinese brands, or say, the Koreans, thereβs no guarantee that they wonβt just pull the rug out from under you.
HUAWEI themselves are now offering extended warranties and discounted prices on their latest devices, so if you get the select devices in HUAWEIβs campaign from the above retailers, you will be in for quite a good deal.
Pokdepinion: Well if you want to get a HUAWEI, opting for one from these retailers isnβt that bad an option.
