Lost Sphear Showcases New World and Characters
Today, the Japanese arm of Square Enix released a βpre-launchβ trailer of the upcoming J-RPG Lost Sphear by Tokyo RPG Factory. The game has been created by the same team that brought us the J-RPG that brought us back them retro feels,Β I Am Setsuna, and thatβs definitely visible in the charming art style.
We get to see a glimpse on the world, followed by the cast. Interesting the Imperial knight Gardula (the one with the horned helm) definitely appears to be a woman, if the voice is any indication. While I donβt have any precise indication of this, it appears that she might be hiding her gender behind the armor.
Last, but not least, we get a nice and quite extensive look on gameplay, which looks lovely, showing battles, giant bosses and stylized environments for your viewing pleasure.
If you have not played I Am Setsuna yet, go for it. The game wonβt take up too much of your time and is quite affordable on Steam as well. It has one of the best videogame soundtracks in recent years. If youβre a fan of Chrono Trigger, youβre definitely going relive some feels from the past.
Lost Sphear will launch in Japan in a few weeks on October 12th, while North America and Europe will have to wait for a release on PS4, PC and SwitchΒ on January 23rd, 2018.

Pokdepinion: Canβt wait to get my hands on Lost Sphear. I mean, Tokyo RPG Factory has done a major job with I Am Setsuna anyway so hopefully this wonβt be a disappointment. The only complaint I had about the game is the ending but I shall not spoil it for you in case you havenβt played it yourself.
