There’s now a Mr. X mod in Resident Evil 2 Remake that replaces him with Thomas The Tank Engine.

If you have played Resident Evil 2 before, then chances are that you’ve had a nightmare of two of Mr. X bursting from the wall like the Kool Aid Man and chasing after you. The sheer randomness of his appearance gives many gamers and uneasy feeling and now, we’re about to crank it up a notch.

Following @Nitomatta on Twitter, we can see a mod which replaces Mr. X with Thomas the Tank Engine in action. As you can see from the video, the mod works similarly to the “X Gon’ Give It to Ya” mod that was super popular not too long ago.

It’s a fun coincidence since the audio queue of the Thomas & Friends theme was done by the very same person who did the DMX mod, DJPop. As for the Thomas model, that was done by ZombieAli. If you really want to get the most out of the Thomas mod, you can use the aforementioned DMX audio mod with the Thomas model for a combination that is both horrifying and hilarious.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen modders include Thomas the Tank Engine is video games. If you’ve been on the internet long enough, then I’m sure you’ve seen videos of the dragons in Skyrim being replaced by Thomas to hilarious results.

Resident Evil 2 is now available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Pokdepinion: Honestly, I’m not even sure which is scarier at this point. I suppose if they made Thomas appear with his theme music at earr*** volume levels, that would constitute a good jumpscare.
