Square Enix has officially announced Final Fantasy XV Royal Edition, as well as the release date for the Windows Edition. Here’s everything you need to know.

Final Fantasy XV Royal Edition Announced

SquareΒ Enix announced that the world ofΒ FFXVΒ has gotten even bigger with the release ofΒ Final Fantasy XV Royal EditionΒ on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One andΒ Final Fantasy XV Windows EditionΒ on PC-Steam, Origin and Windows 10 on March 6th 2018.

Final Fantasy XV Royal Edition andΒ Final Fantasy XV Windows EditionΒ will each launch with the base game and over 20 additional add-ons and DLC. Also, new updated features include an expanded map of Insomnia, a region within the game, new enemies, new side quests and a first-person camera mode.

The expanded map includes the Insomnia City Ruins that allows the player to explore the Crown City of Insomnia and face off against Cerberus and Omega during additional side-quests. Players will also be able to take on the Rulers of Yore.

Additionally, the Royal Vessel boat is now fully-controllable which allows players to explore the world between Cape CaemΒ and Altissia. This addition also allows players to fish while aboard the vessel.

The updates included inΒ Final Fantasy XV Royal EditionΒ will be available to people who already own the base game. Every episode of the season pass content is also included: Episode Gladiolus, Episode Prompto, Comrades Multiplayer, and Episode Ignis.

Final Fantasy XV Windows EditionΒ will launch for USD $49.99 and will open up for pre-order on February 1st 2018. Players who pre-order the PC version will receive store-specific pre-order and early purchase bonuses, which includes a β€œPowerup Pack”, β€œFashion Collection”, and β€œDecal Selection”.

Pokdepinion: I kinda wished they picked a better name than Royal Edition but it’s something I suppose. Better than having nothing at all.
