Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds will be exclusive to the Xbox One console…at first. Then it will pop up in other platforms as well.

One of the hottest multiplayer online games today is Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds. It’s available right now as part of the Steam Early Access Program but people began wondering if it will ever pop up on a console. Well, it will, and it will just be the Xbox One for a period of time. Here’s what was announced at Microsoft’s E3 press conference.

Today at Microsoft’s E3 press conference, developer Bluehole announced that its hit MMO survival game Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds will be available first on Xbox One.

At the time of this writing, no exact date has been announced, but the developer did say that it will be available in fall of 2017. The developer also revealed a brand new trailer for the title, in full 4K quality,which is the video you see above here.

For those that don’t know: PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is a third-person battle-royale, last-man-standing shooter from PLAYERUNKNOWN a.k.a. Brendan Green, a pioneer of the Battle Royale genre. As the creator of the Battle Royale game-mode found in the ARMA series and H1Z1: King of the Kill, Greene is co-developing the game with the aforementioned Bluehole. It seems that Green has struck gold.

In the game, players start with nothing and must fight to locate weapons and supplies in a battle to be the lone survivor. Described as “realistic” and “high tension,” the game takes place on a large 8×8 km island built utilizing Unreal Engine 4. It’s wildly intense at times, and has created some the best GIFs in video games since its launch.

Playerunknown’s Battleground is currently available as a part of Steam’s Early Access program, and has been since March 23rd, 2017. It’s currently unknown, pun intended, when it will be coming to the PlayStation 4.

Pokdepinion: I foresee rage and saltiness flowing heavily on the Xbox One soon, if it hasn’t been in that state already. But seriously though, Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds is pretty fun to play, especially with friends.
