Activision and Tencent Partnering Up for Call of Duty Mobile Game

A few years ago, Activision and Tencent releasedΒ Call of Duty: Online,Β a free-to-play China-exclusive version of the popular franchise that combined features from multiple eras of the series and ever since itβs become incredibly popular. In fact, Activision and Raven Software use it as a testing ground for new features in the main games.
Now, the two giants have announced via a press release that they are teaming up once again for a brand new mobile game, this time utilizing Timi, Tencentβs mobile development team.
As for the title itself, not a lotΒ is known. Just likeΒ Call of Duty: Online, it will combine aspects and features from the previousΒ Call of DutyΒ games,Β including maps, characters, and more. Of course, itβll be a first-person shooter as well and will be completely free-to-play. Weβre expecting in-game purchases to be a thing but with no detail as to what exactly that would entail.
Unfortunately, we donβt have any screenshots, videos, or any other details about the game, however, unless youβre in China this really wonβt affect you, as you wonβt be able to download it outside of that country.
The new China-exclusiveΒ Call of DutyΒ mobile game is set to be released sometime in the next few months. If weβre lucky, we might see that game come out in other regions as well.

Pokdepinion: Well, itβs not the first time weβve seen a mobile Call of Duty game. Weβre just hoping the game would be fun. Either way, this should be something fun to look forward to if they ever bring it outside China.
