In the newest PS5 and PS4 system software update, PlayStation has added new features for the consoles. For starters, you can now create or join Open and Closed Parties for both generations of the console. This part of the feature has also been updated on the PlayStation app with new UI improvements.
Then, we have some UI changes to the PS5 Game Base and Trophy card features. For PlayStation gamers specifically within the US and UK region, you can enjoy a new Voice Command feature preview on the PS5. Basically, you can use your voice to navigate and find games, apps, settings, and more.
As for the PS Remote Play app, it has a UI change, now letting you enjoy Dark Mode. Furthermore, you now have new Screen Reader languages to make use of, which includes Portuguese, Finnish, Swedish, Turkish, Greek, Thai, and Chinese.
For those of you who are wondering, the PS5 Variable Refresh Rate feature is still coming to the next gen console. Itβs expected to be available in the coming months, which means itβs coming relatively soon. In case you didnβt know, the feature will allow the console to sync up the refresh with the display to minimize visual glitches like screen tearing and other artifacts.
