PS5 getting delayed in Southeast Asia?
2020 just got a little bit worse for gamers in Southeast Asia as Sony has made some unexpected changes to the PS5βs release period on their pre-order page for Malaysia and many other countries in Southeast Asia. Spotted on Reddit, the pre-order pages for Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines previously had the βHoliday 2020β release window but now it seems that Sony has quietly removed it indicating a possible delay in launch in South East Asia.
Below are the PlayStation 5βs pre-order pages before and now:

The only country in the region that is getting the PS5 on time is Singapore as Sony has just announced a second wave of pre-orders for the next-gen console happening on 16 October. This isnβt the only time where Sonyβs new console seemingly faced a delay in its release. The console has been apparently delayed in India due to a peculiar case involving the trademarking of the PS5 name.
As of right now, there isnβt much else to go by in regards to this as Sony has yet to release any sort of official statements. Weβll update this as soon as we get more information.
Pokdepinion: Well, this sucks. A lot.
