Marvel Drops Gameplay Trailer For Spider-Man 2 In PlayStation Showcase
The recent PlayStation Showcase has presented a few major titles, and amongst them include Marvel’s upcoming blockbuster hit, Spider-Man 2. The gameplay trailer reveals the new enemy faction – Kraven’s Hunters – who is hunting down Dr. Curt Connors AKA “The Lizard”, and it’s up to Peter Parker and Miles Morales to stop them, and Kraven himself.
The trailer starts off at Connor’s home in Queens, one of the new playable boroughs in the new game. Peter Parker emerges from the basement door, who now wears a Black Suit and is more aggressive than ever in the fights. The fighting mechanics sees new moves and defensive moves like dodging will require additional maneuvers to work against some opponents. Aaron Jason Espinoza,
“We’re putting respect on the Black Suit and giving it the story it deserves,” he continued. The new story will follow on Peter’s personal relationship with Symbiote – though you also get to play as the other Spider-Man, Miles Morales. The gameplay trailer showcases both Spider-Men chasing down on Lizard and fights off Kraven’s squad in the process, traversing the map in even faster speeds thanks to PS5’s SSD architecture enabling faster map loading speeds.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is expected to release in Fall 2023, though Insomniac can’t confirm a release date just yet. Watch this space!
