GTA 6 has been delayed twice by now, pushing the launch date a whole year later from its original fall 2025 release – and amidst the announcement of the second launch delay, Rockstar reportedly fired some of its high-level employees, once again placing doubts on whether the deadline will be met this time. To that end, publisher Take-Two Interactive told IGN that the game will adhere to the November 19 launch date, for real this time.

GTA 6 Will Certainly Launch This November

GTA 6's Marketing Will Soon Commence, As Take-Two Says No More Delays

Per IGN, the publisher stated the following: β€œOur execution throughout Fiscal 2026 has been extraordinary and we are highly confident as we approach Fiscal 2027 – which promises to be groundbreaking for Take-Two and the entire entertainment industry – led by the November 19th release of Grand Theft Auto VI with Rockstar’s launch marketing set to begin this Summer.” Its CEO Strauss Zelnick said just as much, clearly confident in the game’s release this time around.

So, that’s launch date doubly confirmed, and the marketing campaign is set to kick off later this year. If the past launches are anything to go by (granted, the last time we had a new GTA title, that was a whopping 13 years ago), we’ll likely be seeing giant billboard ads and artworks appearing in the real-life cities, and given that GTA 6 is based on Florida and Miami, which translates to Leonida and Vice City respectively in the game’s universe, expect Rockstar to pull off a big marketing stunt in America’s southeasternmost state at some point.

In case you don’t remember, GTA 6 will follow the story of a Bonnie-and-Clyde-style couple in Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos – also the franchise’s first ever female protagonist – as both are in a quest to protect each other from a conspiracy against them. Come this November 19, the game will be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles first, but no word on the PC release for now.

Pokdepinion: Crazy that it’s been 13 years since the last GTA title launched.
