Major Xbox PC App Update Brings Notable Performance Boost
Just as it was teased earlier this month, the major Xbox PC app update has landed and it brings a notable performance boost, among other things.
Major Xbox PC App Update
The Xbox app on PC runs faster and feels smoother after this weekβs update. Proud of the team for listening to feedback from players and delivering a big performance improvement under the hood.

There is a new update for the Xbox PC app, and itβs certainly a major one as it has apparently made the app run smoother and faster than before. This comes after plenty of feedback from users on the general performance and user interface of the app.
On top of the performance boost, the update also introduces a number of fixes, such as the βChange Driveβ file management option being visible only when the system has more than a single drive available, and another fix which apparently pops up an error when bundle installations have been cancelled.
The most important addition is the ability to choose the installation directory for games being installed without having to start the download first. It wasnβt such a big deal but itβs certainly a lot more useful having it than to go without.
In case youβre wondering, it still lacks mouse and keyboard support for xCloud games, but itβs expected to be made available in a future update. The Xbox PC app has certainly shaped up well since its launch and if it continues to improve at the same pace itβs going right now, itβs bound to amass a whole lot more gamers down the road.
