Forza Motorsport Reboot May Launch In October, Says Insider
The rebooted title may finally hit Xbox Series consoles and PCs alike after 3 years since the initial announcement.
Forza Motorsport has always been the staple of Microsoftβs racing portfolio, however the roles has somewhat shifted as the seventh release was released all the way back in 2017 (nearly 6 years ago!) and the mantle has been taken by Forza Horizon instead β which has since produced two more titles in this period. FM7 in particular wasnβt well received in particular due to prevalence of loot-box systems, which was all the rage in many titles at the time.
The studio behind Forza Motorsport series, Turn 10 Studios, decided to go back to the drawing board and remake the next title from the ground up. Hence, thereβs no number 8 in the title, as they set the title as a series reboot to start things over with brand new features and physics engine (which is a bigger leap than what FM7 jumped from FM4, according to the developers).
The game was originally set for spring 2023 launch β but weβre soon entering summer season so thatβs not happening. That timeframe has since βshiftedβ to just year 2023, but insider MrMattyPlays has cleared up the information regarding specific launch dates. βIβve heard that Forza Motorsport (is) coming out in October,β he said in the Defining Duke podcast. Should the game launch at that time, itβd mark a massive 6-year gap since the previous Motorsport title was launched.
If the information turned out to be true, we should hear about the game from Microsoft themselves very soon β including Xbox Game Showcase set on 11 June. The launch date should be revealed by then, along with few extra details prior to the gameβs launch.

Pokdepinion: Iβd like to see if the new Motorsport title might convince me to try circuit racing, as Iβm more of a Horizon player myself.Β
