Dying Light 2 Map Confirmed To Be 4x Bigger Than Original Game
Here we are, still waiting for Techlandβs Dying Light 2 to be released. While thereβs no new updates on the release just yet, it seems that the company has said that the world will be a huge one at least.
Dying Light 2 map to be 4x bigger
Revealed in a recent interview with WCCFTech, Lukasz Burdka, the Senior Technology Programmer for Dying Light 2 has assured that the map will be four times bigger but adds that itβs not a βstraightforward comparisonβ.
The estimate that the map in Dying Light 2 is four times bigger than that of the original game is the most precise estimate that we can provide. The map of Dying Light 2 is much more vertical and gives many more exploration opportunities, so the city feels even bigger than it is.

Theyβve also talked on the platform availability. Though the game was revealed years ago when the current consoles (PS5 and Xbox Series X) wasnβt released yet, theyβve said that the game will still be making its way to PS4 and Xbox One, regardless.
The company hopes to avoid the mess that CD Projekt Red had with Cyberpunk 2077 though as theyβve said βwe make every effort to ensure that the gameβs quality on PS4 or Xbox One is at the highest level. We started testing on the older generation consoles much earlier than in other projectsβ.
Aside from consoles mentioned earlier, the game will also be available to play on PC. Despite the fact that thereβs no official release date being announced, Techland has said that the game will indeed launch this year in 2021.
