Xiaomi has officially launched the REDMI Note 15 Series smartphones in Malaysia, introducing four smartphone models β REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G, REDMI Note 15 Pro 5G, REDMI Note 15 5G, and REDMI Note 15 β alongside a new model under its earbuds lineup with the REDMI Buds 8 Lite, as one of the most entry-level model earbuds you can buy today.
REDMI Note 15 Series Now Available

Across the REDMI Note 15 Series, Xiaomi has implemented reinforced structural layouts, increased battery capacities with 10% silicon-carbon content, and improved ingress protection. Both the Pro+ and Pro models are touted to withstand drops up to 2.5m in height, IP69K ingress protection with up to 24 hours of submersion at 2 meters depth, and features SiC batteries that retain 80% capacity after 1,600 charge cycles (or around 6 years of typical use).
Letβs go through the specs for each models presented in this lineup. First is the leading REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G, which features a 6.83-inch 1.5K 120Hz AMOLED display with 3,200-nit brightness (25% APL) protected via Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 screen. Itβs also got a 6,500mAh battery with 100W fast charging and 22.5W reverse charging, while its processor is a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset with 12GB of LPDDR4X memory, paired with 256GB or 512GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Its camera setup involves a 200MP main sensor, plus an 8MP ultrawide sensor, and a 32MP selfie shooter.
Next up is the standard REDMI Note 15 Pro 5G model, and spec-wise it didnβt differ too much from the Pro+ variant. The main differences include a slightly bigger battery (6,580mAh), slower fast charging support (45W), different selfie camera (20MP), and a different chipset entirely, in this case a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra.

Moving down the order we have the non-Pro series, split int 5G-capable and 4G-only model. The REDMI Note 15 5G features the smallest battery of them all, with a 5,520mAh battery coupled with 45W fast charging and 18W reverse charging; other specs include IP66 ingress protection, Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, 6.77-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display with 3,200 nits of peak brightness, with cameras involving a 108MP main sensor (with OIS) paired with 8MP ultrawide camera, and the same 20MP selfie camera found in the Pro model.
For the 4G-only model (officially REDMI Note 15 sans β5Gβ in its name), it mirrors most of the specs with some key differences: different chipset (MediaTek Helio G100 Ultra), no OIS on its 108MP main sensor, no ultrawide camera (instead it gets a 2MP depth camera), slower fast charging (33W input), and IP64 ingress protection. There is one reason outside of value to consider the 4G model though, and that is the battery, which it gets a decently-sized 6,000mAh cell to work with.

Perhaps ironically, the cheaper non-Pro models are the ones to feature the more premium-looking curved display glass, while the Pro line stuck with flat screens instead, mostly due to usability considerations (as most modern-day flagships do). That aside, youβll have a hard time telling these four models apart as they all share identical camera bump design, though the Pro+ model at least gets an exclusive Mocha Brown-colored PU leather on the back to improve hand grip.
Availability for the REDMI Note 15 Series begins in Malaysia starting today, with both Pro models eligible a free storage upgrade to 512GB as long as they are purchased before 1 March 2026. Pricing starts at RM1,699 for the Pro+, RM1,399 for the Pro, while standard 5G is priced at RM849 with its base 6GB+128GB model, followed by RM949 for the 8GB+256GB variant. Lastly, the 4G model is online-exclusive, with its sole 8GB+256GB configuration costing RM799 apiece.
Bonus: REDMI Buds 8 Lite

Alongside the smartphone lineup, Xiaomi has launched the REDMI Buds 8 Lite wireless earbuds in Malaysia. The earbuds feature 12.4mm titanium-diaphragm drivers and hybrid ANC up to 42dB (plus wind noise suppression for winds as fast as 6m/s). For an ultra-budget model, it does have equalizer for further tuning, fast charging, and a total battery life up to 36 hours with the charging case. Itβs now available purchase in the usual sales channels for RM129.
Pokdepinion: Pretty decent specs for the mid-range segment.
