OnePlus 12 Owner Found A Literal Dead Bug Inside The Chassis
Do you know how the computing term βbugβ came by? It originated from an actual bug that broke the room-sized system, and thus any type of computer error from this point on is colloquially referred to as a bug. Except in this story, itβs not that bug βΒ but rather, a literal, dead bug.
This poor owner of OnePlusβ latest flagship, the OnePlus 12, has found themselves having a bug encased within the glued glass layer behind the phone, at the top side of the camera bump. Thatβs not all β on the lower side of the camera bump, it appears that thereβs a strand of hair that got its way inside, too. βIs the OnePlus 12 sold on the official website assembled and glued in forests?β the owner frustratingly wrote in a Weibo post.
It turns out that this is not the first case of quality control issue regarding the Chinese smartphone makerβs latest flagship. Android Authority previously reported on several cases of panel gaps in between the glass and camera bump, with glue spilling out of the frame too.
Currently, the smartphone is only available in China so the affected users should be limited, for now. The company will have a month or two to solve the manufacturing issues before itβs expected to hit the global market sometime early next year.
