HPβs presence at CES 2026 involves several new device announcements β mostly laptops β and one not-so-laptop device in the shape of a desktop office keyboard. Plus, the company is officially merging two of its gaming sub-brands into one, first reflected on its new gaming laptop.

This is the not-so-laptop thing we just mentioned: meet HP EliteBoard G1a, described as the companyβs smallest and lightest βAI PCβ (in normal speak, a PC) to date, as well as βthe smartest keyboard on earth,β again using AI as the justification instead of conventional processing power. If that isnβt enough AI marketing for you, thereβs of course the Copilot key within the keyboard that all the corporate executives apparently drool over these days.

Everything thatβs needed to make a PC functions like a PC is all crammed within the confines of a 96% keyboard form factor, which includes a battery, active cooling system for the AMD Ryzen AI 300 series processor, I/O ports (although a pair of USB-C ports are all there is), microphones, to name a few; no luck on the webcams however, youβll have to bring your own for that one. Itβs even got spill resistance, so a potentially pricey βkeyboardβ like this one wonβt get easily damaged by toppled coffee cups.

These systems will be powered by an assortment of Intel, AMD, and Qualcomm Snapdragon processors.

OMEN Is Now HyperX
![[CES 2026] HP CES Highlights: A Keyboard-Shaped PC, HyperX-OMEN Brand Merge, Plus New Laptops - 27 [CES 2026] HP CES Highlights: A Keyboard-Shaped PC, HyperX-OMEN Brand Merge, Plus New Laptops - 26](https://cdn.pokde.net/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/12043624/xc-HX_OMEN_MAX_16_ShadowBlack_RearLeft-904x768.jpg)
On the gaming side of things, HP has make a major branding change to its gaming laptops, gaming desktops, and gaming monitors: everything previously branded as OMEN will now be officially under HyperX branding. Effectively, this converts OMEN into one of the sub-category lineup under the HyperX umbrella (i.e. Cloud for headsets, Origins for keyboards, etc). All gaming systems under HP will from this point on bear the HyperX badge, which means the OMEN logo is now officially retired. Hereβs a quickfire list of new laptops and accessories announced under this rebranding exercise:
β HyperX OMEN MAX 16 gaming laptop
β HyperX OMEN 16 gaming laptop
β HyperX OMEN 15 gaming laptop
β HyperX OMEN OLED 34 monitor
β HyperX OMEN OLED 27q monitor
β HyperX OMEN OLED 27qs monitor

β HyperX Origins 2 1800 gaming keyboard
β HyperX Eve 1800 gaming keyboard
β HyperX Clutch Tachi leverless Xbox arcade controller
β HyperX Cloud Earbuds III
β HyperX Cloud Earbuds III S
As a bonus announcement, HP announced that HyperX is partnering with Neurable to develop a headset that literally reads your mind. βThis industry-first gaming technology demonstrates how AI and neuroscience can work together to help players improve their focus and accuracy by interpreting brain activity in real time,β it said in its press statement. Exactly how that will turn out to be, no one will really know at this point β perhaps esports players in the future will be armed with brain-computer interface (BCI) to aim faster? Time will tell.
Pokdepinion: Whatβs with the whole βNext Gen AI PCβ branding? Are we going the route of βNext-Next Gen AI PCβ next?
