In conjunction with May the Fourth celebrations and the upcoming theatrical release of The Mandalorian & Grogu on 22 May 2026, LEGO Malaysia has introduced a LEGO Star Wars fan experience in Malaysia with the event set to take place at the LG2 Orange Concourse, Sunway Pyramid from 29 April to 10 May 2026.
LEGO Star Wars Fan Experience
The event will feature a themed installation inspired by Darth Vader’s fortress, including a central structure and a 6ft x 6ft Death Star hologram schematic constructed from LEGO bricks, while a walkthrough area known as the Hyperspace Tunnel presents a timeline of LEGO Star Wars sets spanning 27 years, including both earlier releases and recent models such as The Mandalorian’s N-1 Starfighter.
The space includes LEGO-built character displays featuring figures such as C-3PO, Darth Vader, Stormtrooper, Kylo Ren, The Mandalorian and Grogu, Chewbacca, Rey and Yoda, alongside additional models including BB-8, R2-D2 and a Death Trooper, while fan-created dioramas depicting battle scenes are also exhibited as part of an on-site activity component, and a themed photo area with a Star Wars throne display is available for visitors.
In the event, there will be various interactive activities – participants who complete designated stations can receive Malaysia-themed LEGO Star Wars collectible postcards (subject to availability), while children aged 12 and below can take part in a build session involving a miniature Landspeeder model. Between 2-3 May and 9-10 May, Star Wars-themed cosplayers will appear within the mall, and the visitors can win a pair of The Mandalorian & Grogu tickets by saying the magic phrase “May the 4th be with you”.
In parallel with the event, the company has introduced its 2026 LEGO Star Wars product lineup, which includes sets based on The Mandalorian such as Grogu, The Razor Crest, Anzellan Starship and The Mandalorian’s N-1 Starfighter, alongside collector-focused items including Darth Vader and Yoda busts and the AT-AT model.
Promotional activities are running across LEGO Certified Stores, selected retailers and online platforms from 27 April to 31 May 2026, with event-specific offers available during the Sunway Pyramid activation period, where selected purchase thresholds provide access to limited items including collectible postcards, mini-build sets and themed merchandise, with availability depending on purchase value and channel.
