Somewhere along the lines in the HONOR’s marketing department, a decision must have been done to warrant its recent barrage of β€œcompliments” towards iPhone designs given how it has marketed the recently-launched HONOR 600 Lite. It certainly wasn’t shy about teasing what looks to be the upcoming HONOR 600 Pro, with a coat of orange that is damn near exact to iPhone 17 Pro’s Cosmic Orange color.

Is It An iPhone, Or A HONOR 600 Pro?

Given what was shown in the teaser images, leaked images suggest that the new flagship-class smartphone is sporting a highly similar design to that of the iPhone 17 Pro. For example, it’s got a full width camera bump (β€œplateau” in Apple speak) that houses three cameras, whilst the LED flash and sensors are moved to the far side; it’s even got a dedicated button on where the iPhone’s β€œCamera Control” button was supposedly located, though in this case it’s likely functioning as the remappable β€œAI Button”, according to HONOR’s promotional materials.

HONOR only provides three images and one extra piece of information – it’ll have a triple-camera system for imaging. Based on leaked renders shared by WinFuture, the HONOR 600 Pro best fit the description, with two round camera lenses and a third rounded-rectangle lens (pictured left):

While the flow of official information ends here, the leak does suggest another model in the form of β€œbase” HONOR 600 (pictured right). This model also largely copied iPhone’s look, though it lacks a third camera lens and in its place you’ll find the LED flash and additional sensors instead. The result is a phone that seemingly features an unnecessarily large camera bump that serves no purpose other than visually shouting at everyone β€œMY PHONE LOOKS LIKE IPHONE”, but maximum commitment in imitation, am I right?

Now, despite HONOR mentioning the term β€œflagship” in its press release, XpertPick (via GSMArena) reported that the hardware actually powering the HONOR 600 Pro is not what you’ll necessarily associate a flagship smartphone with. Since the preceding HONOR 400 was powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC, that should give you an idea where the 600 series are positioned; in fact, Geekbench entries suggest it’ll be using the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset (based on model name SM7750), which is commonly found in mid-range models.

Either way, we’ll know more when the Chinese smartphone maker has decided on a date and time to make a proper launch for its upcoming lineup. Expect specs, pricing and availability to be shared publicly by then.
