Having trouble choosing which game console to stay in the living room? Chinese creator 小宁子 “XNZ” has solved that dilemma for everyone with a unified 3-in-1 console, packing the hardware from Sony Playstation 5, Xbox Series S, and Nintendo Switch 2 into a single physical unit, aptly named “Ningtendo PXBOX 5”.
Ningtendo PXBOX 5 Unites Them All
“Necessity is the mother of invention” they say, and this machine, according to XNZ, was born to solve the problem of quicky switching between multiple consoles. Because gaming consoles often have platform-exclusive games, so for those who own lots of them, switching between consoles becomes inconvenient – so the Ningtendo PXBOX 5 is the answer to that.
The creator took inspiration from the 2013 Mac Pro (better known as “trashcan”) with its triangular motherboard structure, where the three motherboards from each console can be joined together to form the same shape. Everything non-essential is stripped away, which includes cooling and power supply components, leaving only the bare boards sharing the same custom 250W power supply, custom heatsinks, and combined the HDMI I/O into a single cable to de-clutter the cables.

Some extra mods include a bottom-fed intake fan a la Xbox Series X, plus integrating Nintendo Switch 2’s dock into the chassis, so no functionality is lost despite extensive modding. Everything is put together with a triangular-shaped external shell, plus external lighting (which flips between red, blue, and green for corresponding console) and some faux wood panels to fit modern aesthetics.
The result is a console tower not too dissimilar to larger SFF PCs in size, but packs all three consoles into a singular unit which can be switched in as little as 3 seconds. The only caveat is that games can only be run on one console at a time, as the power supply (rated for 250 watts) is the limiting factor, itself capable of supplying either the PlayStation or the Xbox at full tilt with small amounts of remainder for the other two systems’ standby power.
Pokdepinion: It honestly looks impressive.
