Microsoft Now Allows You To Set Bing AIβs Personality
Be it human-friendly or the factual-minded, itβs up to you.
Microsoft has now added a new feature which allows users to pick which kind of personality theyβd like to talk to, which will give varying tones in responses. Three options are available: Creative, Balanced, and Precise. The Creative option gives you the βoriginal and imaginativeβ chatbot that talks more lively, whereas on the other end of the spectrum you have βPreciseβ, which in essence talks in a more βroboticβ way and gives out less feelings.
By default, the chatbot uses the Balanced mode and should be available to most Bing AI users. This new feature should help with the recent anomalies which made the AI said some odd to nasty things. That made Microsoft put some tape on Bingβs imaginative mouths, and has caused a bit of unresponsiveness in conversations as a result. Though, the restriction has since been lifting off slowly as the model behavior gets patched up.
The latest update to Bing AI includes βsignificant reduction in cases where Bing refuses to reply for no apparent reason,β says Mikhail Parakhin, Microsoftβs Head of Web Services. This should mean less odd responses like the one we saw before β right on time as Bing AI is expecting more users when the feature is implemented straight into Windows 11βs taskbar and various Microsoft services.

Pokdepinion: Pretty neat upgrade, I personally would prefer Precise just to get straight to the point.
