WhatsApp iOS Users Can Now Create Stickers In The App
Feeling creative? WhatsApp has announced that iOS users of the app can now create any custom sticker from scratch using the in-app editor. The feature is currently rolling out on devices running on iOS 17 or later.
The sticker editor is easy to use, which especially shouldnβt be an issue if youβve learned to use Instagram Stories editor, for example. One of the factors that developers say for implementing this feature is negating the need for third-party apps, or requiring drag-and-dropping images from the deviceβs gallery.
To begin, select βCreate Stickerβ in the sticker panel, and from here on youβre free to add any elements, including images, cutouts, texts, or just hand drawing. Tap the send icon and itβs done β the finished sticker will automatically be saved in the sticker panel so you can reuse it anytime.Β Note that users on iOS 16 or below will not get access to this feature β however, they can edit existing stickers. To do that, simply tap and hold the one to edit, then select βEdit Stickerβ. The same process applies from this point on.
For now, Android users will have to wait as developers did not mention any release timeframe on Googleβs operating system. However, the feature is already available on WhatsApp web β so youβll have to stick to using a PC or tablet device to get your custom sticker fix, for now.
Pokdepinion: Hereβs hoping Android users will get this feature soon enough.
