Free RM50 ePenjana Credit Has Some Limitations That You Need to Know
Weβre still uncertain about how weβre going to get the free RM50 ePenjana credit, for which e-wallet, and exactly when. However, we are now aware that there are some limitations on its use that you need to be aware of.
Free RM50 ePenjana Credit Limitations
According to the FAQ document on Boost, it was revealed that there are a number of things that you canβt do with the free RM50 ePenjana credit. This is the full list provided by the FAQ:
- Online / Internet-based purchases
- Tolls
- In-app based services
- Bill and utility payments
- Telecommunication payments (postpaid and prepaid)
- Taxi and ride hailing
- Any government services
As you can see, this severely limits its use. Not to mention that the inability to use for in-app services and ride hailing would affect Grab with their GrabPay and GrabFood services. Previously with the E-Tunai Rakyat program, there were no such restrictions.
At this point in time, we are uncertain if Grab would still be an official e-wallet partner for the ePenjana program. With that being said however, you can use GrabPay in more physical shops now, so I wouldnβt say that thereβs no use for it. We will report more on this as soon as information becomes available so stay tuned.
Pokdepinion: Well, this is actually going to be a lot more of a pain compared to the previous one we got. Still better than nothing I suppose.
