Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) recently held the closing ceremony of KodeMyFuture, a digital skills development program conducted in partnership with the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), and the Social Security Organisation (PERKESO).
KodeMyFuture Prepares Graduates For Future Careers

Launched under the global TCS Purpose4Life program, KodeMyFuture is part of TCS’s long-term commitment to digital education, inclusion, and sustainability. The three-day event was officiated by Datuk Professor Dr Azlinda binti Azman, Director General of the Ministry of Higher Education, and brought together representatives from TCS and partner organizations.
The initiative trained close to 100 graduates in coding, problem-solving, and digital competencies including AI, cloud computing, data analytics, and cybersecurity to support Malaysia’s growing demand for skilled talent. Over the past year, participants underwent structured modules, industry mentoring, and project-based training designed to strengthen employability in the digital economy. The program selected graduates primarily from Computer Science, Information Technology, and related fields across public universities based on their potential to pursue careers in high-demand digital sectors.

KodeMyFuture aligns with national workforce goals by supporting efforts to raise the share of high-skilled workers to 35% by 2030 under the 13th Malaysia Plan (RMK13). It also complements ongoing initiatives aimed at reducing graduate unemployment, which declined from 3.4% in 2023 to 3.2% in 2024, with 4.98 million graduates currently employed.
TCS stated that the initiative reflects the need to bridge learning and employability as Malaysia advances its digital transformation, producing nearly 300,000 graduates annually who require relevant skills for the evolving labour market. PERKESO noted that adaptability is central to employability in a technology-driven environment, while MDEC highlighted that the program supports national efforts to build an AI-ready workforce under the AI Nation 2030 ambition.
