Here’s When Digi Will Shut Down Regional 3G Network
As you may have heard, telcos in the country is shutting down their 3G networks and if you’re still using it and use Digi as your telco provider, they’ve unveiled the dates when they are closing.

As you can see they’ve broke down the list to regions across the country where we can see as early as 6th of December for the closure for Pahang, Kelantan, and Terengganu. Those who are living in Selangor and KL can expect it to happen on the 22nd of December. The last region to see the close down is Sarawak, which will occur on the 30th of the same month.
The nationwide 3G shutdown is part of the Jalinan Digital Negara (JENDELA) initiative, which aims to enhance the country’s digital infrastructure and provide seamless digital connectivity for all. With the shutdown, it will allow 3G spectrum to be repurposed to enhance 4G LTE network performance in the country.
If you’re unsure on whether your phone is 4G compatible, you can send an SMS “4G” to 28282, or by checking the VoLTe compatible list. You can also SMS “LTE” to 20000 to check if your SIM card is 4G-friendly.
