Razer Debuts Wired Cobra And Wireless Cobra Pro Gaming Mice
Razer’s gaming mice family gets a new member: the new Razer Cobra lineup. On first impressions, it looks like the company took the best of Basilisk and Viper and mashed them into a single package – and thus the Cobra is born.
The Cobra Pro, as the name implies, is the premium offering here with 11-zone Chroma RGB, 10-button controls and 5 onboard memory profiles that features symmetrical shape (although it’s not quite ambidextrous as Viper, due to side buttons available only on the left side). Razer’s HyperShift feature also brings another layer of macros which effectively give players extra sets of macros available with a combination of key presses.
There’s also the “Smart Dimming” feature that lowers brightness during gameplay (when you obviously won’t be looking at the mouse in a match), and returns back to full brightness during “active use”. The wireless model weighs at 77g, and provides 100 hours of wireless runtime (170h on Bluetooth) on full charge, which uses USB-C SpeedFlex cable for connection.
Meanwhile, the cheaper Razer Cobra is the more budget-friendly wired mouse that still feature 8 customizable buttons with a single-zone RGB, which tips the scales at just 58 grams. While it still uses SpeedFlex cables, the sensor will max out at just 8500 DPI (which is upgraded over other similar sensors in Razer’s own lineup, with finer DPI increments), lower than its more premium offerings.
Razer priced the Cobra Pro at RM659 locally; whereas the wired Cobra will cost just RM205.
