Remember when MSI asked the community to decide which faction should take over the design cues of its World of Warcraft-themed GPU? Turns out the vote didnβt matter that much, as the company decided to release both versions of the graphics card anyway, in line with World of Warcraft: Midnightβs official launch yesterday.
MSI x World of Warcraft: Midnight GeForce RTX 5070
The special edition GPU is split into two variants: the Void Edition, and the Light Edition. Essentially, both are the same card as MSIβs GeForce RTX 5070 GAMING TRIO OC with a different shade of paint with the Void edition predominantly in dark blue, with half of its backplate flipped to gold colors, while itβs vice versa for the Light Edition. Each card comes with color-matching 12V-2Γ6 adapters, and the GPU stand that is replaced with WoW logo.

Hereβs a quick recap of both cardsβ specs: the RTX 5070 silicon features 6,144 CUDA cores, paired with 12GB of 28Gbps GDDR7 VRAM via 192-bit memory bus, while the core clocks are rated for 2610MHz boost (+98MHz, ~4% overclock), though this can be further raised to 2625MHz via MSI Center software. It requires 250W of power via a single 12V-2Γ6 connector, and the display outputs involve three DisplayPort 2.1b, plus one HDMI 2.1b.
MSI says both cards are now globally available βin limited quantitiesβ, though the company stopped short of announcing the MSRP on its press release. Still, in this kind of economy, donβt expect it to be cheap β especially when supply for 12GB GPUs are potentially dwindling as companies are working through the memory shortage situation.
