While we’re still less than two weeks away from CES 2026, Samsung has gone ahead and announced its 2026 Odyssey gaming monitor lineup ahead of the event with five new models, including its first 6K display, and several other models with refresh rate upgrades and various new features.

First up, the new 32-inch Odyssey 3D (G90XH) features a 6K (6144 x 3456) 165Hz dual-mode display with glasses-free 3D functionality enabled through real-time eye tracking; to that end, Samsung says selected PC games will support optimized 3D effects developed in collaboration with game studios. Coming back to the dual-mode bit, the company didn’t say much short for 330Hz refresh rate at β€œ3K” resolution. Assuming that cuts the resolution in half on both axes, that translates to 3072 x 1728, which sits in between 4K and 1440p in terms of pixel count.

The next model, the 27-inch Odyssey G6 (G60H), targets competitive gaming with a native QHD (2560 x 1440) IPS panel supporting 600Hz refresh rate, but it gets even faster than that: when operating on 720p mode, the refresh rate can be boosted to a face-melting 1,040Hz. Good luck to your GPU keeping up the framerates.

Samsung is also expanding the Odyssey G8 series with three new models. The 32-inch G80HS is a 6K IPS monitor with 165Hz/330Hz refresh rates – think of it as the Odyssey 3D minus the 3D part. Meanwhile, the 27-inch IPS panel found on the G80HF offers a 5K (5120 x 2880) resolution with 180Hz/360Hz refresh rates, and the 32-inch third OLED model (G80SH) features a 4K 240Hz QD-OLED panel with glare-reduction treatment, along with support for USB-C charging for laptops (up to 98W output).

Pokdepinion: Safe to say 1,040Hz is fast enough for even the most competitive gamers. GPUs can’t keep up!
