ASUS has announced a new gaming monitor in the form of ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM Gen 3 ahead of CES 2026, with the major update involving its new β€œBlackShield Film” designed to address contrast performance in brighter environments, which is a common issue among QD-OLED displays.

Per ASUS, the new film layer improves black levels and the resulting perceived contrast by up to 40% compared to the second-generation model (PG32UCDMR), while also minimizing purple-colored tints visible under strong lighting conditions. As bonuses, the panel gets an anti-reflection surface coating to reduce glare, along with 2.5x improved scratch resistance for easier cleaning.

The PG32UCDM Gen 3 otherwise retains the same specifications as before, featuring a 4K resolution and 240Hz refresh rate with VRR support; its color performance also qualifies for Dolby Vision and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certifications (upgraded from True Black 400), with its 99% DCI-P3 gamut, Delta E <2, and true 10-bit color support. Display inputs include HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 2.1 UHBR20 (80Gbps), along with USB-C port featuring 90W power delivery support.

So far, ASUS hasn’t announced anything regarding availability and pricing, which likely will vary depending on regions involved. While the company has made no mentions of CES 2026 in regards to this monitor’s announcement, it’s likely that it’ll tag along with the new models on the show floor next week.
