The ASUS ROG Strix OLED XG32U series is officially announced with two sub-variants: XG32UCWMG and XG32UCWG, both claimed to be the βworldβs first 4K WOLED gaming monitors featuring TrueBlack Glossy filmβ (which is an oddly specific thing to say but thatβs classic ASUS at this point).

So whatβs the deal with this new material? Per ASUS, this layer of coating combines a βzero-haze optical layer with an advanced anti-reflective stackβ to reduce ambient reflections by 38% compared to previous glossy WOLED panels. This way, the deep blacks OLEDs are known for will stay black, even under bright environmental lighting. The company also employs Clear Pixel Edge algorithm that removes fringing in thin lines or displayed texts, which was a common issue with this panel type.

Both 32-inch models deliver 4K (3840Γ2160) resolution with the XG32UCWMG offering a 240Hz refresh rate, while the XG32UCWG is rated for 165Hz, each with a 0.03 ms gray-to-gray response time. An integrated Dual Mode allows users to switch to high-refresh 1080p resolution mode at double the panelβs 4K refresh rate (480Hz and 330Hz respectively). As with ROG models, youβll find features like Extreme Low Motion Blur, OLED Anti-Flicker, and Aspect Ratio Control for competitive gaming use.
To ensure the panelsβ lifespan, the panel protection features under the banner of ASUS OLED Care Pro includes pixel refresh, image shifting, and logo brightness limitation to mitigate burn-in risks; a βNeo Proximityβ sensor detects user presence to automatically dim the display when the user is away (and restore brightness upon return), with detection distance adjustable via OSD. ASUS provides both models with a three-year burn-in warranty.
These new monitors also adopted the new stand design, now with 45% smaller footprint than previous ROG OLED stands and supports full tilt, swivel, and height adjustments. Connectivity options include two HDMI 2.1 ports, DisplayPort 1.4 wit DSC, USB-C with 15W power delivery, a headphone jack, and Auto KVM support for switching between two devices using a single keyboard and mouse.
ASUS says local availability and pricing for the ROG Strix OLED XG32UCWMG and XG32UCWG will be announced at a later date.
