First announced in CES 2026 last month, Alienware is officially bringing its newly-refreshed Area-51 desktop PC to Malaysia, featuring the new AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D processor that brings a small improvement in performance on top of the already-powerful Ryzen 7 9800X3D.
Alienware Area-51 2026

With the introduction of the new Zen 5 gaming processor, the starting configuration for the refreshed Area-51 includes an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 GPU, along with 2x16GB DDR5-6400 RAM, 1TB PCIe 5.0 SSD, a 360mm AIO liquid cooling setup, and a 1500-watt ATX12VO power supply (which is not compatible with conventional motherboards that uses standard ATX power). This base configuration will cost an eye-watering RM34,269, and thatβs not even close to maxing out this PCβs specs.
Those curious will probably do a fun experiment where they max out the configurations and see how much of a sticker shock they may experience β in this case, if you max everything out with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090, 64GB DDR5-6400 RAM, 8TB (2x 4TB) PCIe 4.0 SSD, and a Windows 11 Pro license, thatβll set you back for an insane RM61,024. I know for a fact even a maxed-out Perodua Myvi is cheaper than this.
Regardless of which component you end up choosing, all will come with the Ryzen 7 9850X3D as standard. Dellβs website allows you to configure some components individually, and you can head there and see what suits best.
Pokdepinion: βExpensiveβ is an understatement.
