New Razer Kraken V3 Family Unveiled at RazerCon 2021
At RazerCon 2021, three new gaming headsets were introduced with improved haptic feedback; the Razer Kraken V3, V3 HyperSense, and V3 Pro. Here’s what you need to know.
New Razer Kraken V3 Family Unveiled at RazerCon 2021
The Razer Kraken V3 HyperSense and V3 Pro make use of haptic feedback, which the company refers to as “HyperSense”, which makes use of haptic drivers in each earcup. The drivers will take the shape and frequency of the game audio and processes them under 5ms, which will then turn into vibrations. The best part here is that it works natively so it doesn’t require any additional software to make use of it.
The vibrations are expected to move accordingly with the game audio, from left to right, with the strength of it being dependent on the audio. For example, if a grenade were to explore on your right side, you will be a vibration on the right earcup, with the force going up to 4.3g.
This is similar to the Razer Nari Ultimate headset that was launched previously. Compared to that headset however, you can control the intensity of it via the on-ear controls, which can be set to be high, medium, low, or off. To make sure its up to par with their newer headsets, they make use of the 50mm Triforce Titanium drivers, which are divided for the low, mid, and high frequencies.
As for the Razer Kraken V3, it lacks the Razer HyperSense technology so it’s missing a major highlight of the new lineup. Apart from that however, all the headsets are pretty similar, with the Pro version being the only wireless one. All of them can also make use of THX Spatial Audio for a surround sound experience. Pokdepinion: I’m actually quite curious as to how these new and improved haptic feedback system would help. I’m hoping for some next level immersion.
