Transcend Introduces New 2TB Rugged Portable Hard Drive With USB Type-C Connection

Transcend has lift the lids of their new StoreJet 25M3C, the latest USB Type-C portable hard drive in the brand’s lineup. What’s so special about it? Well it comes in a rugged three-stage shock protection that’s coupled with a native Type-C port that offers performance both external and internally.

The Transcend StoreJet 25M3C features the USB 3.1 Gen 1 interface and a Type-C port for faster transfer rates. It also comes with both a USB Type-C cable as well as a Type-C to Type-A cable, just in case you need that extra compatibility. It can even be used on your smartphone with it offering support for OTG (On-The-Go) function.

Other than that, it comes equipped with a one-touch auto-backup button that instantly backs up your data with just a single press. The button also allows you to connect the hard drive to your PC without the need to unplug and insert it in. To do so, you’d need the Transcend Elite software, which is available on Mac, Windows, as well as android devices.
