TM has a month to answer to Gobind Singh Deo regarding Streamyx issues
Telekom Malaysia (TM) has done good with their unifi Turbo upgrades, but the elephant in the room still remains. Streamyx subscribers are paying more than unifi users, but are βenjoyingβ abysmally slow speeds. To that end, our Minister of Communication and Multimedia, Gobind Singh Deo, has demanded a plan of action within a month to solve Streamyx usersβ woes.
The statementΒ was released after a meeting between the minister and TMβs top brass. Several issues were discussed at the meeting, including the low speed, high price Streamyx service which is at heads with the βDouble the Speed, Half the Priceβ initiative announced by the ministry last year.

The statement goes on to mention that there are still around 1 million Streamyx users languishing in slow internet. TM has reportedly tabled a few suggestions to solve the issues, but what the minister wants is a report and a final solution to the problems that Streamyx users are facing.
The last time such a deadline was put out, TM requested an extension. We will see if TM will pull it off in a monthβs time. Clockβs ticking!
