MIUI 12 Officially Unveiled
Xiaomi global has today unveiled the companyβs latest user interface, the MIUI 12 and hereβs what went down at todayβs global launch event.
MIUI 12 launch
You might recall back April, Xiaomi had introduced the MIUI 12 in China. Today marks the global launch and theyβve unveiled additional details of the interface.
Needless to say, you can expect new system animations from MIUI 12. With the new UI, it comes with βadvanced color blending and blurringβ.
Aside from that, your screen will respond to your movement, or so theyβve said. With its physics engine, they claim that icons move like real objects.
The weather app also changes depending on real-time weather outside. Other than that, once youβve clicked on an icon (on the notification bar) they will react and move, showcasing response.
Youβll also get a detailed look at your storage utilization where it shows a bar of specifically how much space is used and for what.
MIUI 12 has also brought the introduction of βSuper Wallpaperβ and in this case the Mars Edition. The wallpaper lets you tour around Mars, where it moves slightly as time goes by.
Do you ever worry when you share screen to another display that your messages or notifications will get shown there too? Well with the new update, you are rest assured that all that will only be shown on your main display, which in this case is your smartphone.
One feature thatβs certainly pleased the gamers is the ability to minimize your game and do other things. Yeah, we hate those loading screens as well. Done loading? Just pull it back down to go back to full screen.
Aside from that thereβs the Ultra Battery Saver mode. Running low on juice? Well the new mode allows your device to last up to 5 hours with just 5% left of battery, at least thatβs what they claim.
Not to forget, theyβve also improved the permissions in MIUI 12. With the update, you can choose to allow permissions from apps only when you are using them (the apps) and no longer have to enable them all the them.
