Twitter Will Be Removing User Accounts In December 2019
According to reports, it seems that Twitter is sending emails to their users who are inactive as to warn them of their decision to remove accounts that are deemed in that category.
How would one be considered βinactiveβ? Apparently if you havenβt log in for the past six months, then sadly youβre a part of the group.
A spokesperson from Twitter has said βAs part of our commitment to serve the public conversation, weβre working to clean up inactive accounts to present more accurate, credible information people can trust across Twitter. Part of this effort is encouraging people to actively log-in and use Twitter when they register an account, as stated in our inactive accounts policyβ.
It appears that the removable will be in phases and not all accounts (inactive) would be removed at the same time.
Hereβs the email thatβs sent out to those inactive accounts, courtesy of GSMArena:
Hello,
To continue using Twitter, youβll need to agree to the current Terms, Privacy Policy, and Cookie Use. This not only lets you make the best decisions about the information that you share with us, it also allows you to keep using your Twitter account. But first, you need to log in and follow the on-screen prompts before Dec. 11, 2019, otherwise you account will be removed from Twitter.
Pokdepinion: Personally, Iβve never really been a fan of using Twitter. I wouldnβt be surprised to see myself getting the mail.
