The folks over at Logitech have unveiled a brand new keyboard offering for gamers. It’s the Logitech G Pro X gaming keyboard, and it’s quite a unique product. It is a mechanical keyboard with a modular design which allows you to easily swap mechanical switches on-the-fly.

The Logitech G Pro X utilizes their proprietary GX switches, which is available in three different β€œflavours”. You have the linear GX Red, tactile GX Brown, and the clicky GX Blue switches. You can literally pull out the entire key-and-switch combo from the board and swap it for another one. For a more detailed breakdown of the switches, check it out right below here:

GX Red (Linear)

  • 1.9 mm actuation distance
  • 50 g actuation force
  • 4.0 mm travel distance

GX Blue (Clicky)

  • 2.0 mm actuation distance
  • 50 g actuation force
  • 3.7 mm travel distance

GX Brown (Tactile)

  • 2.0 mm actuation distance
  • 50 g actuation force
  • 3.7 mm travel distance

As you can tell from the looks, the Logitech G Pro X gaming keyboard utilizes a tenkeyless layout and will have the LIGHTSYNC RGB. It also has 12 programmable F-key macros so you have more options when gaming. The unique design essentially makes purchasing a new keyboard a thing of the past as you can easily swap out switches.

The Logitech G Pro X gaming keyboard will be retailing for USD $149.99 and will come with your choice of starter switches. Extra switches will come in a USD $50 kit and include 92 switches with extras to spare. No word yet on a Malaysian release but we’ll be reporting on it as soon as information becomes available.

Pokdepinion: Personally, I prefer my keyboard with Numpads unless it’s on a laptop. However, I do like Tenkeyless keyboards for work and mobility so this is quite tempting for me.
