Instagram Could Hide Likes On Posts Soon

It seems that Instagram has created a design prototype, where it hides the Like counts on your posts according to sources. This news comes from Jane Wong, who spotted the change in the source code of Instagram’s Android app.

The reasoning behind it? Well it looks like Instagram wants “your followers to focus on what you share, not how many likes your posts get”. Despite the news, an Instagram representative has said that they are no testing the change just yet but has mention that they are always “exploring ways to reduce pressure”, presumably for their users. Even though they might take away the likes count, you will still be able to see how much likes you’ve gathered on your posts.

While this new update may not seem like much, it definitely will have some effect when it comes to influencers on the social media platform, seeing how they mostly make money based on how many likes their posts gets as well as the number of followers that they have.

Pokdepinion: I wouldn’t mind if it comes but then again, i wouldn’t care if it didn’t anyways. That’s not the case for influencers though…
