Spotify To Ban People Who Uses Adblocker

It seems that Spotify will update their terms and conditions soon, where they’ve revealed that they will punish users who tries to bypass their ads.

In that Terms of Service, the company has mentioned “circumventing or blocking advertisements in the Spotify Service, or creating or distributing tools designed to block advertisements is strictly forbidden”. Those who disobey the rule may see their account to be suspended or even terminated.

This new preventive measure will affect free account users, as Premium users wouldn’t have to face ads anyway.

It is reported that there’s roughly 2 million Spotify users that’s been using adblocker.

Pokdepinion: Personally, I don’t use Spotify so much, so I don’t mind having the ads. I do know a lot of people who are using adblockers though….
