Video Showcases Xiaomi’s New Foldable Smartphone
Out of the blue, Xiaomi has released a teaser video of a new phone that folds in three. The video features the company’s co-founder and president, Lin Bin, where it showed some details of the new device.
As shown in the video, you can fold both sides of the phone, getting a more compact size instead of a tablet form factor.
The device is reportedly an engineering model which was revealed by Xiaomi’s president himself where he noted that they had to overcome “a series of technical problems such as flexible folding screen technology, four-wheel drive folding shaft technology, flexible cover technology, and MIUI adaptation”.
This won’t be the first device that we’ve seen to offer such traits. Previously it was let known that Samsung has been working on one themselves.
We could probably see/learn more of the device at this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC) where it will commence next month in Barcelona.
Pokdepinion: It looks promising but I just have a problem on why it wasn’t flat in its full form..
